The Centre for Ethics, Politics and Society at the University of Minho (CEPS UMinho) invites expressions of interest from highly qualified candidates to apply for a fixed-term research position (up to 6 years) under the Scientific Employment Stimulus Program funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). The selected researchers will be hired by the Center through FCT funding, according to the following conditions:
Junior researcher: Ph.D. holders with up to 5 years of post-doctoral research expertise in the scientific area of application.
Assistant researcher: Ph.D. holders for more than 5 years and less than 12, with research expertise in the scientific area of application and limited scientific independence.
Principal researcher: Ph.D. holders with more than 12 years of research expertise in the scientific area of application and proven scientific independence over the previous 3 years.
Coordinating researcher: Ph.D. holders with 12 or more years of research, holding the Portuguese qualification of ‘Agregado’ or ‘Habilitado’, with a curriculum of high scientific merit and recognized leadership in the scientific area of application.
(The 5 year-limit period is calculated from the closing date of the call)

All candidates should attach 1) a recent CV, 2) brief research statement (no longer than 2 pages) 3) a small motivation letter justifying the choice of the Centre and UMinho as host institutions.
